How Untangle simplifies business systems with integration, custom software, automation, and practical AI

  1. It starts with one clear process. The work is easy to follow, the handoffs make sense, and everyone knows where things stand.
  2. A spreadsheet fills the first gap. It solves the immediate problem, then quietly becomes a system the business depends on.
  3. Then another tool joins the stack. One problem gets easier, but there is another login, another source of truth, and another handoff.
  4. A person becomes the integration. Someone copies, checks, and carries context between systems that cannot pass work cleanly.
  5. The workaround becomes the process. Each fix made sense on its own. Together, they became a system no one designed.
  6. Four kinds of friction. One place to start. The answer is not to rip everything out. It is to understand the knot, then use the right mix of systems integration, custom software, automation, and practical AI to clear one useful path at a time.
  7. Connect the business systems. Use systems integration to move information cleanly between the tools your business already relies on.
  8. Build custom software around the work. Create focused business software around the way your team actually operates instead of forcing a generic fit.
  9. Automate repetitive business processes. Give the steps that drain time, create manual handoffs, and cause avoidable errors back to technology.
  10. Apply AI where it makes a difference. Use practical AI in a clear, purposeful role within a workflow the whole team can follow and improve.
  11. A clearer way forward. A practical system that fits the business now and leaves room for what comes next.
The situation

Your business grew. Your systems grew with it.

Each fix made sense on its own. Together, they became a system no one designed.

What I untangle

Four kinds of friction. One place to start.

Disconnected systems

Information is re-entered, lost, or delayed between tools. Systems integration connects the tools the business already relies on.

Software that doesn’t fit

Your team works around the software instead of the other way around. Focused custom software fits the way the work actually happens.

Manual work

Repetitive steps drain time and create avoidable errors. Business process automation gives that work back to technology.

Processes that don’t scale

A workflow that once worked now depends on memory, workarounds, and heroics. Practical AI and automation can support a clearer process that grows.

About Claire Rahlfs

I've been untangleing complex systems my entire career.

I started my career in industrial gases, working directly with the facilities and equipment that keep large-scale operations running. That experience taught me to look beyond diagrams and plans, understand how work actually happens, and solve problems alongside the people doing it every day.

Today, I bring that same approach to software, automation, and AI. I work directly with owners and their teams to uncover what's slowing the business down, turn operational complexity into a clear plan, and build practical tools that fit the way the business really works.

I keep untangle intentionally small because I love working closely with people and getting to the root of how their business works. The best product decisions come from having the full picture, not just a list of requirements, so I stay involved from our first conversation through delivery. Based in the US, I work with established businesses across the country.
